Maxwell Crystal, LICSW

Max grew up in the greater Boston area before moving to Vermont to complete BA from Saint Michaels college and Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University. Max started his behavioral health career working with children and families in crisis and has since had experience working in inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Prior to joining Sana as the clinical director, Max worked as the Bereavement Program Coordinator for a hospice agency, specializing in the treatment of traumatic grief. Max is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatments to clients in a variety of settings and facilitating mutual aid support groups. In his free time Max enjoys biking, hiking, soccer and snowboarding.
