Dennis was born and raised in northern New Jersey before eventually settling in Vermont. He brings a strong background in community-based service and leadership, with a focus on supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. As Program Manager at Sana at Stowe, Dennis leads day-to-day operations within a residential treatment setting, where he develops and facilitates programming, supports and supervises staff, and works closely with clients to foster a safe, structured, and compassionate environment.
Dennis is known for his ability to build meaningful connections with clients, using empathy, clear communication, and crisis de-escalation skills to support individuals through challenging moments. He has played a key role in enhancing program operations, including creating initiatives to improve the client experience and streamline internal systems.
In addition to his professional experience, Dennis has completed Recovery Coach Certification training and is actively engaged in his own sobriety through Alcoholics Anonymous. He is passionate about introducing clients to recovery through the 12-step model and helping them build a strong foundation for long-term sobriety. He brings a peer-informed, client-centered approach to his work, grounded in both personal and professional experience.
Dennis resides in Chittenden County with his wife, Elle, and their two dogs, Scout and Luna. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys reading, playing guitar, cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
